About Me

I am a qualified personal and professional development coach. Having spent 20 years’ teaching sixth formers, my interest in growth and flourishing and merging our academic and emotional intelligences, has led me to coaching.

Although I coach all ages, I specialise in coaching teenagers and young adults. As a parent, teacher, examiner and school Governor, I have a unique understanding of the 16-25 age group and have shared the often bumpy journey they travel at this time of academic pressure and emotional development. Instead of feelings, emotions or anxieties remaining un-discussable until a teenager feels out of control, coaching offers the chance to help them pause, reflect, talk and find positive coping strategies.

I have a Masters in Psychological Coaching from the Metanoia Institute for which my research focused on the psychology of ‘busyness’ and slowing down.

Prior to coaching, my qualifications include a Masters in Medieval Art History from the Courtauld Institute, where my dissertation was awarded distinction and published in 2005. I also have a BA in Art and Architectural History from the University of East Anglia.

I’ve been an examiner for Cambridge International Examinations and was a Governor of Ludgrove School where I chaired the Pastoral and Academic sub-committee.
